Hello! I'm Shawna, the founder and designer behind Nevie LoRu. I am an artist, a budget-friendly interior decorator, and a business owner with a passion for transforming spaces into something truly special. My journey into interior design was born from a desire to merge my artistic talents with the practical needs of creating beautiful, functional homes.

My Journey

My career began in high-end property management and development, where I gained invaluable insights into the world of interior design. However, it was during my time as a stay-at-home mom that my true passion for design blossomed. I started experimenting within the walls of my own home, applying the principles I had learned from designers I worked with. This exploration fueled my love for creating new designs that are tailored to my client, not to a trend.

When my husband and I built our home, I took the opportunity to design it myself, rather than hiring a professional. This experience became the catalyst for transforming my hobby into a thriving business. As my children grew and became more independent, I focused my energy on Nevie LoRu, a name that holds personal significance as it combines the nicknames of my beloved daughters.
